You may have heard of SSL, or maybe someone tell thy web site requires SSL certificate but you still do not understand. OK it's not a problem, at the end of this article, you will have a basic understanding of SSL certificates, and will find out if necessary. How does it work? SSL build a secure encrypted connection between the visitor's browser and the web server. To build a secure, SSL sessions do the process behind the scenes without disturbing the customers shopping or browsing experience. Think of SSL as a lock box that holds valuables (customer information) on the Internet from visitors. How do I know if I need one? If visitors or customers enter information on a web site of yours as your name, address and credit card number then you definitely need SSL certificates to protect that information. If the Web site does not require anyone to enter information, then you don't need an SSL certificate. How will people know the website I have been wrong?

On each web page is secure, there are visual indicators. First, the browser will display a lock icon. The location of the icon is different depending on the browser. Second, look at the upper left corner of the browser address bar. Have you noticed that all the websites say http://or https://before the website address? Pages that do not have "s" after "http" not secured by an SSL certificate. There are other visual indicator that varies depending on the type of SSL certificate. Sometimes the address bar is green and/or display security seal. Other times, web browser give a warning when the page is not secure.
